Wisdom & Whispers

“Soulful sayings and poems to soothe, awaken, and empower.”

A soul-stirring visual representation of healing and inner strength. This artwork by Suset
A golden, ethereal digital painting of a woman in a flowing white gown standing on a cliff at sunrise, looking skyward with arms gently by her side. Sun rays bathe her in light as white feathers float around her, symbolising grace and resilience. The image features the affirmation: “I trust in my ability to rise, rebuild, and begin again—no matter how many times I’ve fallen.” by Susette Jarvis.

RISE AGAIN

By Susette Jarvis

There’s nothing to stop you from starting once more,

When the winds of life blow through your door.

There’s nothing to stop you from choosing to stand,

When the plans you once held slip out of your hand.

There’s no rule that says you must crumble or break,

When your heart feels heavy and your hands still shake.

No reason to give all your power away—

You can soften your breath and face a new day.

Let tears fall quietly, don’t fear their flow,

They water the seeds of strength as you grow.

But don’t let your pain be the whole of your song—

You were made for more, and you still belong.

There’s healing in action, in rising anew,

In whispering, “Yes... I can see this through.”

The past may have scarred you, but scars can fade—

With courage and truth, new ground is laid.

So gather your pieces, your hopes, your light,

Step back on the path, however slight.

You’re not broken—you’re being refined.

And every new start realigns your mind.

So breathe in your power, exhale the ache,

The world needs your heart—don’t let it break.

Begin where you are, let your spirit ignite...

For even the smallest flame can burn bright.

The Quiet Power of Confidence

By Susette Jarvis

Confidence isn’t loud or proud,
It doesn’t need a cheering crowd.
It grows in silence, deep and true,
In moments no one sees but you.

It’s choosing to rise though fear remains,
To walk through doubt and still sustain.
It’s holding your truth when voices shout,
And trusting your worth without a doubt

It’s not the loudest in the room,
Nor dressed in glitter, gold, or gloom—
It’s a steady flame, not chasing praise,
But burning bold through shadowed days.

It’s looking in the mirror and saying, “I see
A soul that is learning to just be me.”
It’s soft, it’s fierce, it’s quietly bright,
A glow that turns your wounds to light.

So take each step in your own way,
Let self-belief be what you say.
The world may not yet understand—
But confidence is holding your own hand.

A Conversation

with Fear

By Susette Jarvis

I see you, Fear—
Lurking softly in the dark,
Whispering what ifs and worst-case dreams,
Leaving traces like a watermark.

You knock on doors I’ve just begun to open,
Pulling at my hand with trembling grace,
You mean to shield me from the fall—
But sometimes, you just slow my pace.

You dress up like protection,
But wear the mask of doubt,
You draw a cage around my voice
And try to lock the real me out.

But I have learned to sit beside you,
Not push you down or hide—
To breathe into your presence,
And meet the shaking on the inside.

You are not my master—only a guide,
A signpost, not a wall.
And when I rise with you still near,
You shrink… and I stand tall.

So stay if you must,
But know this is true:
I’ll no longer abandon my power
Just to make space for you.
